Salary: Circa £18,000.00 dependent on experience.

Education: A-Levels, Degree.

Full UK Driving Licence.

Role Based in Northampton.

We are a UK print, design and illustration studio, producing charming, quirky and original art. With over 15 years buying experience we offer our clients a commercially informed creative approach. Our designs have been used on products in Paperchase, Madison Park, Galison, Anthropologie and many more…

An extra pair of hands are keenly required for this full time role to assist our growing business (currently based at home). We're looking for someone extraordinarily special (and a bit lovely too) since they will be jumping into a role with a lot of variety including administration, travel, account management and marketing. 

We expect you to develop the current infrastructure and formulate key areas mentioned to aid and support the day to day activities of the business.

The successful candidate will have a background in a creative industry, design studio, or retail background. Must have excellent working knowledge of MS Office, and Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop. A clear communicator, great at juggling multiple tasks, all the while ensuring that things run smoothly.

Key areas:

 

Office administration/management:

 

  1. Management of artwork portfolio both hard copy and digital versions.

  2. Printing art, mounting art preparing for trade shows.

  3. Screen calls, email and enquiries to correct destination.

  4. Manage incoming and outgoing post and couriers.

  5. Critical path management for the directors, design team and clients creating timelines and coordinating deadlines for all ongoing projects. Day to day tracking between clients and studio team.

  6. First point of call , to channel information between clients customers and studio teams.

  7. Schedule meetings.Team activity co-ordination and debriefing on all ongoing operations.

  8. Manage office supplies (eg. stationery).

  9. Invoicing clients.

  10. Managing staff holiday & travel requests.

 

Travel:

 

  1. Booking flights, transfers and hotels, and coordinating travel needs.

  2. Be willing to travel for trade shows to represent the business with clients face to face. 

  3. Managing expenses to ensure these are completed in accordance with our travel and expenses policy.

  4. Accompany senior members of staff entertaining clients.

 

Account management & Marketing:

 

  1. Support the team in communication to clients sharing new work and current work.

  2. Follow-up enquiries while providing regular touchpoint with clients.

  3. Manage CRM system . Data entry.

  4. Manage project flow. Data entry

  5. Assist senior staff with social media activities eg, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.

  6. Work with senior staff to arrange and manage events eg, Christmas/Summer parties.

  7. Develop an understanding of the studios work, the illustration workflow and client base. 


Skills required:

 

  1. Self motivated and independent individual, able to manage own time and prioritise. 

  2. Meticulous and very well organised.

  3. Thorough, with attention to detail essential.

  4. Excellent communication skills a must. Strong verbal, written communication and numeracy skills.

  5. Ability to shadow current employees in order to create and implement infrastructure.

  6. Confident to travel to Europe & US to meet clients and attend trade shows.

  7. Respond to changing requirements of the business.

  8. Good problem solving skills and an ability to use initiative.

  9. High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, Dropbox, G-Suite, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

  10. Sound knowledge of social media.

  11. A working background or a strong interest in design.

  12. Confident when meeting new people.

  13. Able to manage and work with others collaboratively to consistently achieve multiple and concurrent deadlines.

  14. Take ownership of a task/project and see it through to completion.

  15. Ability to research and make recommendations based on comparative analysis.

  16. Have an open, collaborative and respectful approach in all aspects of work and dealings with others.

  17. Trustworthy and able to deal with confidential matters.
